Welcome to the Blog. Please let it be put on record that I did not have any hand in choosing the name!

I'm feeling pretty optimistic that this group is going to produce some fantastic writing this year. Perhaps we might even claim a victory or two?

So, thanks to everyone who has come along so far: Lucy, Emma, Chloe, Hannah and Sarah. I'm also still holding out hope that a couples of others may join. A handful of people have spoken to me personally and informed me of their intention to come along. If you speak to any of them, please tell them to get on the blog! (I'm thinking mainly of Olivia, Megan, Lois, and Laura).

On this blog, I'll be posting details of the competitions that I want us to enter, as well as materials that I think will help you to prepare effectively in your own writing.

I may publish an extended list of competitions so that you know exactly what I'll be asking you to do during the next year. Please remember, however, that this is purely extra-curricular and that your studies must come first. If there is ever a time that you feel this is getting in the way, just come and have a quick word so that I know!

So...let's see what we can do!
