Sarah brought the following to my attention, so I'll stick a link on here so you can have a look.
November 2013 is National Novel Writing Month. If you sign up to this website, it is a community which encourages you to draft a rough copy of a novel within a month! (A pretty demanding task - 50,000 words!).
It's a very interesting idea though if any of you are that way inclined and feel like a hefty challenge.
